Senators and Squirrels Suspended Friday Night
Harrisburg leading the game 4-1 in the top of the 3rd
The game between the Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels Friday night was suspended with one out in the top of the third inning with Zach Collier batting. The Senators are leading the game 4-1 and had scored two runs in the third when the rains came. The deluge lasted for well over 45 minutes before the game was suspended. The game started at 7:06 p.m. and went into a rain delay at 7:49 p.m. and was officially suspended at 8:50 p.m.
The Senators scored two in the first on a two-run single by Neftali Soto. Richmond cut the lead in half off Senators starter Reynaldo Lopez. In the third, Soto drove in a run with a groundout and Chris Bostick drove in a run with a single.
The game will be resumed at 4:05 p.m. on Saturday and be played to a nine-inning conclusion. That game will be followed by a seven-inning game.
The games can be heard on Fox Sports Radio 1460am, through senatorsbaseball.com and through iHeart Radio.
