The 21-year-old right-hander is 5-0 with an ERA of 1.48 in his last seven starts (42.2 innings), and has lowered his season ERA to 2.64, which is good for fifth in the Eastern League. Giolito has struck out 62 and walked 29 in 61.1 innings this season.

Giolito was originally selected in the 1st round (16th overall) of the 2012 MLB draft by the Nationals. He is currently ranked as the No. 1 prospect in all of baseball according to MLB.com.
