Senators Roster Moves: Sanchez Promoted, Norfork Joins Sens

The Washington Nationals made minor league moves affecting the roster of the Harrisburg Senators today as INF Adrian Sanchez was promoted to AAA Syracuse. Taking Sanchez’s place is INF Khayyan Norfork, who was promoted to Harrisburg from High-A Potomac.

Sanchez leaves the Senators with the second-most doubles on the team, 13, while hitting .218 with 15 RBI and stellar defense on the infield. This is his first appearance in AAA.

Joining the Senators for a second time is Norfork, who played in three games with Harrisburg at the end of the 2015 season. Norfork was 3-for-10 with two doubles in his brief stint with Harrisburg last year.

This season, Norfork hit .252 with five doubles and 16 RBI in 42 games with Potomac.
