Game Notes

  • Pitching Matchups:
    • Senators: RH Jaron Long (3-2, 2.13) vs. Binghamton: RH Rafael Montero (2-1, 2.19)
  • Jaron Long is on the mound for the Senators tonight making his second start since returning to Harrisburg from Syracuse. He went six innings in his last start allowing just two runs, one earned, on July 28 against Hartford. Eight of his 18 starts at double-A and triple-A have been quality starts.
  • The Senators jumped out to an early lead on a pair of two runs home runs from Drew Ward and Isaac Ballou as Phillips Valdez and Sam Runion did the rest in shutting down the B-Mets.
  • With his third home run since his promotion to Harrisburg, Ward now has 14 on the season. That puts him only one behind Matt Skole for the Nationals’ minor league organizational lead.
