    • Senators: RH Phillips Valdez (4-4, 5.05) vs. Bowie: LH John Means (4-6, 4.70)
  • John Means is on the mound for the Baysox tonight. The 23-year-old Olathe, KS native is in his third professional season. He went 5-0 in nine starts with Frederick before being promoted to Bowie on May 26. This is his first career start against the Senators. Bowie has lost five of his last six starts. The Orioles 11th round selection in the 2014 draft threw a seven-inning no-hitter last season for Delmarva on July 31, 2015. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the 46th round in 2011 but did not sign. He’s 4-6 with a 4.70 ERA in 16 starts for the Baysox.
  • The Senators’ furious ninth-inning comeback came up short as Harrisburg scored five runs in losing 7-6 to Bowie.
  • The Senators enter play today 2.5 games behind Akron in the wild card race for the playoffs.
  • With a stolen base last night, Rafael Bautista now has 51 on the season and is one behind Jim Reboulet’s modern day, single season record set in 1987.
