Game 37 vs. Bowie: Lineup and Notes
The Senators and Baysox play game two of the three game series Wednesday night at FNB Field. The Senators could not overcome a five-run deficit after three innings, dropping game one 6-4. This is the third series of the season between the two clubs and final time the Baysox come to Harrisburg during the regular season. With their series opening won, the Baysox lead the season series 4-3 after both teams traded series victories at their respective home parks in the prior meetings. The two teams do not play again this season until a three game series August 8 to August 10 in Bowie.
LONGEST NINE-INNING GAME
Tuesday’s series opener lasted three hours and 20 minutes, the longest nine-inning game the Senators have played this season. 15 of the 18 innings played featured at least one baserunner, and 10 innings had at least two baserunners.
TODAY’S STARTING PITCHERS
The Senators send Taylor Hill to the mound in game two of the series. Hill is making his first start for the Senators this season, after spending the first month and a half of the season with Syracuse. The right-hander went 1-4 with a 9.29 ERA in six starts with the Chiefs this season. Hill is in his second season with the Senators, after having started 11 games for the club in 2013. The Baysox counter with starter David Hess. The right-hander is 5-1 with a 3.49 ERA across seven starts this season. Hess started against the Senators on April 14 and earned the win after limiting them to two runs over six innings.
