TODAY’S GAME

The Senators and SeaWolves play game three of a four game series Wednesday morning. The Senators look to rebound after they dropped a 2-1 walk-off loss to the SeaWolves on Tuesday night. The Senators and SeaWolves meet for their second series of the year, as Erie took two out of three from the Senators on May 8-May 10 at FNB field in the first meeting.

HERNANDEZ HEATING UP

Yadiel Hernandez finished 2-4 in game two, giving him at least a hit in ten of his past 13 games, and at least two hits in four of his last six contest. Hernandez has raised his average from .190 on May 1 to currently at .262 and his on-base percentage sits at .353, the fourth highest rate on the Senators roster.

TODAY’S STARTING PITCHERS

Austen Williams starts game three of the series for the Senators. The right-hander is 1-5 with a 6.89 ERA over seven starts this season. Williams suffered the loss in his last start, giving up seven runs on ten hits over three innings. The 24-year-old is making his first start of the season against Erie. The SeaWolves counter with starter Tyler Alexander. The left-hander is 2-3 with a 4.23 ERA in eight starts this season. Alexander lasted just two thirds of an inning in his last start on May 19 at Altoona, allowing five runs on four hits. The 22-year-old surrendered six runs in his lone start against the Senators on May 8 across just one and two thirds innings. Alexander was originally drafted in the 2nd round of the 2015 draft out of TCU and entered the season ranked as the fourth best prospect in the Tigers organization.
