Game 47 vs. Richmond: Lineup and Notes
The Senators and Flying Squirrels play game three of the four game series Sunday night. The Squirrels snapped a seven game losing streak with their game two victory as they scored seven runs in the ninth inning to overcome a 4-1 deficit. The Senators took two of three against the Squirrels in their only prior matchup, which came on the previous road trip. Tonight’s game is one of the just three Sunday evening games all season for the Senators.
Neftali Soto finished 3-5, extending his hitting streak to 14 games, the longest streak of the Senators season. The streak is tied for the second longest hitting streak in the Eastern League this season and is the longest streak by a Senators player since 2010 when Marvin Lowrence had a 15 game streak. The Manati, Puerto Rico native has recorded at least a hit in 19 of his past 20 games and 38 of the 43 games he’s played.
