Senators Roster Moves: Wander Suero promoted to AAA Syracuse, Braulio Lara activated off the TIL
The following transactions have taken place today affecting the roster of the Harrisburg Senators:
Reliever Wander Suero has been promoted to AAA Syracuse. The 25-year-old right-hander was 0-1 with 10 saves and a 1.96 ERA in 18 games with the Senators this season. This will be Suero’s first crack at Triple-A after eight seasons in the Nationals’ organization. The Dominican has made 74 appearances with Harrisburg over parts of the last three seasons.
The corresponding move for the Senators is activating Braulio Lara off the temporary inactive list. Lara has pitched to a 6.14 ERA and 2.52 WHIP in 14.2 innings for Harrisburg so far in the 2017 campaign. The 28-year-old southpaw has made at least one appearance at the Triple-A level in Durham and Sacramento each of the last four seasons.
