Game 64 at Akron: Lineup and Notes
The Senators and RubberDucks play the rubber match of a three game series Thursday night at Canal Park. The Senators overcame a 6-0 deficit to win game two 12-7 and even the series. The Senators look to win their first series since they took out of three from Richmond on June 19 to June 21. The Senators and ‘Ducks play 13 times during the 2017 season, with six games in Akron and seven at FNB Field.
Wednesday’s 12-7 comeback victory gave the Senators their second victory this season when trailing after six innings and biggest come from behind victory after they were down 6-0 at the end of two innings. The 12 runs were also the most scored by the Senators since they knocked off Erie 14-13 on May 22.
Matthew Crownover starts the rubber match for the Senators. The left-hander has started two games for the Senators since being added to the roster on June 1 and has allowed nine runs in six innings combined between the two starts. Crownover went 3-1 with a 1.94 ERA in ten games and six starts at Potomac before he was promoted.
The RubberDucks counter with starter Luis Lugo. The left-hander is 4-3 with a 4.09 ERA across 11 starts this season. Lugo allowed six runs over five innings in his most recent start on June 9 against New Hampshire. The 23-year-old is in his first season with the ‘Ducks after spending all of 2015 and 2016 with high-A Lynchburg. He was originally signed as a non-drafted free agent on February 28, 2011.
