Game 103 vs. Portland: Lineup and Notes
The Senators welcome the Portland Sea Dogs to FNB Field for their first and only visit this season. The Senators were able to salvage a game in their three game series against Richmond with their come-from-behind 5-3 win in the series finale. Portland comes in having won the rubber match of a three game set against New Hampshire on Sunday night. The Senators captured two of three from the Sea Dogs in their only prior meeting this season in late June.
The Senators scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to take the series finale over Richmond 5-3. The comeback marked the Senators’ fourth win when trailing entering the ninth inning, the most such wins in the Eastern League this season.
Austin Voth starts the series opener for the Senators. The right-hander is 1-1 with a 6.23 ERA over his first two starts with the Senators this season. Voth earned the win in his last start after allowing three runs in five innings against Binghamton on July 22. The 25-year-old began the season with triple-A Syracuse where he went 1-7 with a 6.38 ERA.
The Sea Dogs counter with starter Teddy Stankiewicz. The right-hander is 3-4 with a 4.52 ERA across in 17 games and 16 starts. Stankiewicz allowed four runs in six innings in his lone start against the Senators on July 1. The 23-year-old was originally drafted in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft from Seminole State College.
