Game 119 at Hartford: Lineup and Notes
The Senators and Yard Goats wrap up the season series between the two Sunday afternoon at Dunkin Donuts Park. The Senators try for the series win after they swept Saturday’s doubleheader, winning 4-2 and 3-0 in games one and two respectively. The Senators are 8-5 against the Yard Goats this season.
With his eighth inning go-ahead home run in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader, Raudy Read became the first Senators player this season to homer twice in a game. Read is the first Senators player to hit multiple home runs in a game since Wilmer Difo on June 8, 2016, who also hit a pair against Hartford.
HOME RUN HAPPY
The Senators have hit 12 home runs on the road trip after knocking four in both games of the twin bill. The Senators now have hit 17 home runs in August, which is tied for the most in the Eastern League. The club has slugged at least one home run in 13 of its past 15 games.
Austin Voth gets the call in the road trip finale for the Senators. The right-hander is 3-1 3.71 ERA with the Senators this season. Voth worked seven innings of two run ball in his last start against Bowie on August 8, his longest start as a Senator this season. Parker French takes the bump for the Yard Goats. The right-hander is 7-11 with a 6.54 ERA across 22 starts this season. French has allowed six runs or more in four of his last five starts, including allowing seven runs in six and two thirds innings against Trenton in his previous start on August 8.
